Categories and training schedules

 * Girls born in 2010 (1st year of U16) can play in the U14 category. Girls born in 2008 (1st year of U18) can play in under 16 (mixed) and also in the senior women’s category. In any case, from the day they turn 16, girls can play in the senior women’s category.
** Under 18 Category: The federation has established a new category for 3-year-olds. Those born in 2006 will be able to continue playing in the U18 and also in the senior men’s category. *** Touch: Mixed category without contact from 14 years old (born in 2010) until the body can take it.

Field

We play and train at the “Sitari”, the Esports UB rugby field, Av. Diagonal 695 (Pistes Universitàries)

It has free parking at all times, and access by public transport:

• METRO: L3, L9-S Zona Universitària
• BUS: 7, 33, 67, 113, 175, H4, H6, V1, V3
• TRAM: Zona Universitària

The changing rooms for use during training and matches will be located under the stands of the Athletics Stadium.

Academy Preseason Stage

Like every season the Academy will do a Preseason Stage.

This year U14 and U16 will go the weekend of September 21 and 22 to Torroella de Montgrí (Camping the Castell).

While the U18 will do so on the weekend of 28 and 29 September in Vic (Alberg Canonge Cullell).

Registrations

Prices for the 2024-25 season

REGISTRATION IS ANNUAL AND CAN BE DIVIDED INTO 9 MONTHLY INSTALLMENTS

THE LICENSE FEE MUST BE PAID AT THE START OF THE SEASON. IT IS ESSENTIAL TO HAVE HEALTH COVERAGE

* 4% discount by making a single payment, or 3% if it is made in two payments on the annual fee
* 25% discount for the second sibling and 50% on the third sibling on the annual fee
* 25% bonus (not cumulative) for all female school and academy registrations (S6-S18)
** Touch: Players in the Touch category must be “protecting members” in one of their categories.
*** Touch: In order to compete in the Catalan Touch League and Cup, it will be necessary to be duly federated. The federation license includes the corresponding medical insurance.

Renewals

Players from the previous season have received in this email the steps to follow to renew their registration. It will be essential to renew the photo with an updated one.

In case of problems with the registration, contact the Club at club@ceurugby.com specifying the player’s full name and year of birth.

Medical Check-up

The sports medical examination (minimum Type-I) is mandatory FOR ALL CATEGORIES. Without this requirement, registration and license cannot be processed, therefore, you do not have health coverage and you will not be able to participate in any federation competition. The validity of the check-ups is 2 seasons. If you or your son/daughter had the check-up last season, it will remain valid for the next one; otherwise, you must renew it in order to process the federation license.

This year, we have reached an agreement with the Centre Mèdic Travessera (CMT www.cmtravessera.com) that gives us a reduced price of 25€ for all CEU players. At the start of the season, during the month of September, we will set up a space at Sitari to carry out these inspections on the field.

Check-ups can also be carried out at the CMT centre itself, Travessera de Gràcia, 285 bis, Gràcia, 08025 Barcelona. Any certificate issued at an approved centre using the attached document Sports Medical Certificate (CEM) Season 2024-25 will also be valid.

Club kit

For the correct representation of the club both on and off the pitch, it is essential that the players are dressed correctly. It is therefore essential that the players from the School wear the game shirt, as well as the socks and the game pants of the CEU.

For the other players from the Academy and the Seniors, as well as the Club game shirts, they are required to wear the socks and the CEU pants for the matches; as well as the CEU polo in the third periods.

Promotion

This new season, the Club wants to continue the campaign to promote new additions to the School and Academy sections. The promotion consists of a monthly fee bonus for any player who sponsors a new club member. The new member will also have the first fee free and a gift for the new player.

Scholarships

As an entity approved and accredited by the Barcelona City Council, participants in the Academy and School categories will be able to apply for the scholarships provided by the city council for “Subsidies for children and young people for sports practice outside of school hours”. In the first training sessions we will provide interested families with all the information to complete the procedures.

Rugby Touch Section

This season is the final constitution of the Rugby Touch section of the CEU. We want this section to remain open to all members of the Club (from 14 years old): teenagers, mothers, fathers, veterans and veterans. Everyone who wants to come and try it out will always be welcome and we encourage everyone to try it out one day. But it is time to compete officially. Joining a federation will not only allow us to participate in the Catalan Touch League and Cup, but will also guarantee proper health coverage and adequate use of facilities.

As most of the regular players are parents or veterans, they are not listed as players with the right to use the facilities. To solve this delicate administrative problem, we ask that players who have decided to be part of the section “sign up” as Protective Members (https://ceurugby.com/es/socio-protector/).

Touch Rugby is a completely mixed rugby modality without contact. These characteristics make Touch a very dynamic game that requires a lot of coordination. Supporting Member

We ask all members of the CEU family, who do not participate as players in the rugby sections, to consider supporting the Club by becoming Supporting Members.

By becoming a member you will become an individual part of the CEU and you will be able to enjoy privileges and discounts. By being registered with the Club, we will be able to inform you specifically about news, events and special events. It is a way for veterans, family members to connect with the Club and support the project. We have three categories for you to choose from:

Giving back to Rugby what Rugby has given us

Rugby is a sport that gets you hooked, and it gets you hooked forever! That’s why there are no ex-rugby players, you’re a player for life!

The bonds that are created are very strong, and not only between the players but also with everyone around the team: from parents and friends, to coaches and delegates; we all form a big family, the CEU family.

The same spirit of collaboration, inclusion, teamwork and unity that occurs in a match is the same that moves the clubs, and of course, the CEU as well. We all push together to get this scrum forward!
