CEU Rugby Barcelona begins preparing for the new season with renewed energy and great news on the bench. The Senior Men’s A will have a new technical team full of experience, talent and a lot of passion for the oval, combining outstanding careers in leading clubs such as FC Barcelona and BUC.
A new luxury trio at the head of the Senior A
From left to right in the image, the Senior A staff is configured by:
- Francesc-Xavier Ferrer i Escudé “Xavo” (Second coach): Former Barça player, N1 coach and with a long and solid career managing teams at the Blaugrana club. This season he will bring all his experience and tactical knowledge as second coach.
- Raül Vall-llosada Garcia “Vic” (Delegate): Also a former Barça player and with recent experience as a delegate for Barça Blau until last season. This year he will take on the coordination and delegation of CEU A.
- Sasha Ferro Marcó (First coach): His entire life has been linked to BUC as a player and coach. After his time at the helm of the women’s team in División d’Honor B (DHB), the N2 coach takes over the Senior A team as the highest technical manager.
Continuity and guarantee for Senior B
Regarding Senior B, the club is committed to continuity to continue consolidating the team. Ramiro “Rama” Magadán Fernández will continue as head coach, accompanied once again from the sideline by the indestructible delegates Joan Garriga and Oriol “Comandante Tomatito” Rey.
Clear objectives for the campaign
This year’s sporting challenges are very well defined and the ambition is maximum:
- With the Senior A: Face the championship with guarantees to fight at the top of the DHC (Catalan Division of Honor).
- With the Senior B: Maintain a competitive block at the highest level, training players and ensuring competitiveness on each day.
