We are informing all club families that the application period is now open for the Second Step of the financial aid grants awarded by Barcelona City Council for extracurricular sports activities.

Submission deadline: October 8!

The application period begins on September 15, and the FINAL DEADLINE—WITH NO EXCEPTIONS—IS OCTOBER 8, 2026. We ask that you do not wait until the last few days, as late applications cannot be processed.

Who can apply for this second step?

This procedure is intended only for families who applied for the grant earlier in the year (Step 1) for the 2026 calendar year and received a favorable decision.

  • Important: This grant covers the portion of the 2026-2027 season that takes place during 2026. The portion corresponding to 2027 must be requested during the City Council’s next call for applications in early 2027.
  • If you did not apply for Step 1 earlier in the year: You CANNOT apply for the grant at this time. You will have to wait for the 2027 call for applications.

Important reminder: Families must handle the application process

Families are responsible for submitting the application directly to Barcelona City Council. CEU Rugbi Barcelona cannot carry out this procedure on your behalf.

To submit the application via the municipal platform, you will need the CEU Rugbi Barcelona activity code, which depends directly on the section or team where your child plays.

How do I get the club activity code?

To obtain the relevant code and complete the application, please follow these steps:

  1. Send an email to marga.marin@ceurugby.com
  2. Email subject line: 2026 grant – [Child’s name]
  3. In the body of the message, include:
    • Child’s full name
    • Age
    • Section/Team they play for
  4. We will reply with the code you need to enter into the City Council’s application form.
